Types of Sedation We Offer
At APX Endodontics, your comfort is our priority. We offer sedation options tailored to your needs so you can feel relaxed and at ease throughout your visit.
Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas)
Commonly known as “laughing gas,” nitrous oxide is a gentle inhaled sedative delivered through a small mask placed over your nose. It helps you feel calm within minutes, and the effects fade just as quickly once the mask is removed. You’ll be able to resume normal activities and drive yourself home afterward.
Conscious Oral Sedation
With this option, you’ll take a prescribed medication shortly before your appointment to help you feel deeply relaxed. You’ll remain awake and able to communicate with our team, though many patients remember little of the procedure. Because the calming effects can linger, you’ll need a trusted adult to drive you to and from your appointment.
We'll discuss which sedation option is right for you during your consultation, taking into account your level of anxiety, the complexity of your procedure, and your personal preferences. Our goal is to ensure you feel comfortable and cared for every step of the way.

During your consultation, we'll discuss your concerns and help determine which sedation option is right for you.
